About

I fell in love with paper making at an exhibition featuring handmade paper artists. The beauty of the paper, the textures, the color and the many possibilities inherent in the paper making process, captured my heart. The first time I made paper, I felt at one with the universe, as though I were a mere vessel for the act of creation. This initial experience is still with me thirty years later.

My work is driven by the desire to experiment with and fuse ancient knowledge with the avant-garde. With each theme I embark on a new journey of associative colors, signifiers and textures to create a visually poetic experience. The materials I use are of the finest quality, (primarily cotton, flax, Kozo and mitnan), mixed with additives such as earth pigments, flora and glass powders.

My works have been exhibited in Japan, Europe, North America, Canada, Australia, Dubai, Israel, Taiwan, Korea, and China and are held in private collections worldwide. I hold a master's degree in art history and visual culture from Ben-Gurion University. I’ve taught diverse audiences, trained art teachers and facilitated numerous hands-on paper making workshops.
